Our Story

Spotlight Dance Legacy traces its roots back over 25 years to the founding of The Spotlight School of Dance in Creston, Iowa, by Adonica Struhar. The school quickly built a reputation for providing high-quality dance education and exceptional performance opportunities for students of all ages. After more than two decades of success, the studio expanded to Winterset, Iowa, where it became an integral part of the community, offering a supportive and inclusive environment for dancers to thrive.

In 2023, the Winterset location was sold to Sarah Pugh, a dedicated staff member, marking the transition to Spotlight Dance Legacy. While honoring the 25-year history of The Spotlight School of Dance, Spotlight Dance Legacy is excited to continue offering top-tier dance education. Whether you're just starting or are an experienced dancer, we are passionate about inspiring creativity and helping students achieve their dance goals.
