Spotlight Dance Legacy traces its roots back over 25 years to the founding of The Spotlight School of Dance in Creston, Iowa, by Adonica Struhar. The school quickly built a reputation for providing high-quality dance education and exceptional performance opportunities for students of all ages. After more than two decades of success, the studio expanded to Winterset, Iowa, where it became an integral part of the community, offering a supportive and inclusive environment for dancers to thrive.
In 2023, the Winterset location was sold to Sarah Pugh, a dedicated staff member, marking the transition to Spotlight Dance Legacy. While honoring the 25-year history of The Spotlight School of Dance, Spotlight Dance Legacy is excited to continue offering top-tier dance education. Whether you're just starting or are an experienced dancer, we are passionate about inspiring creativity and helping students achieve their dance goals.
Spotlight Dance Legacy provides family-friendly performing arts training, fostering creativity, confidence, and community in a supportive environment. With a focus on wholesome values, students develop both technical skills and personal growth. Through classes and performances, the legacy inspires young dancers, ensuring every child feels valued and empowered in their artistic journey.
Spotlight Dance Legacy is building a future where dance education fosters confidence, creativity, and community. Under Sarah Pugh’s leadership, we aim to expand opportunities through innovative training, inspiring performances, and a welcoming environment. Our vision is to be a hub for artistic excellence, empowering dancers to reach their full potential while carrying the joy and discipline of dance into all aspects of life.
We pride ourselves on having the best instructors who care, not only about teaching your children, but also furthering their own education to be the best they can be.
